FEDERAL SKILLED WORKERS PROGRAM

The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) of Express Entry is a prominent Canada Immigration program created by the government to offer permanent settlement options for persons based on their qualifications and capabilities.

It's a point-based visa, so you'll need to gain or score at least 67 points depending on your age, education, job experience, language skills, and other factors.

Who is eligible for this visa?

If you meet the following criteria, you can apply for this visa:

• (a) Appear on a list of occupations recognized by Canada Immigration and Citizenship by labour market conditions, or
• (b) Have a work offer in the nation already arranged or
• Are an international student who has applied to a Ph.D. program in Canada and has been accepted.

(2) Meet the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 minimum English requirements.

(4) Have a Canadian diploma, bachelor's degree, professional certification, or international qualification examined by a Canadian Customs and Citizenship-approved organization, such as Educational Credential Assessment, to provide proof of Canadian qualifications (ECA).

• Expertise Level B (technical occupations and skilled trades).
• Expertise Type O skill (management occupations).

Beginning in May 2013, the Canadian government implemented an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) procedure in which foreign degrees, diplomas, certificates, and other credentials are compared to Canadian credentials to determine comparability before submitting for a Federal Skilled Worker visa.

Before filing the final travel visa, everyone who is a principal applicant and has finished their schooling outside of Canada must undertake an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).

The government of Canada has licensed four organizations to undertake Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). They are as follows:-

• International Credential Evaluation Service of Canada.
• Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continued Studies.
• Medical Board of Canada (professional body).
• World Education Programs.
